The History of StateRAMP
In 2020, StateRAMP was founded by a group of government and industry leaders who recognized the need to have a standardized operating cloud security model for state and local governments. StateRAMP offers a security framework for cloud service providers who sell their technology to state and local governments. These frameworks help secure cloud service providers, such as SAP NS2®, standardize how we store, manage, access, and control our customer’s data within the cloud.

As an organization who specializes in providing secure cloud services to regulated and public sector industries, we recognize the importance of StateRAMP. While it’s built with federally mandated cloud regulations in mind, such as NIST 800-53, it differs as it provides newfound visibility to state and local governments. With StateRAMP, state and local governments have complete access into the details of their provider’s operating cloud security model.
